How to Make a Squidoo Lens in Under an hour (CLOSED)- Trevor’s video course showing exactly how to make a Squidoo lens quickly

    1. Mike,

I’m glad you were able to get some actionable value out of this. I think one of the best tips was donating to charity because it gets rid of the banner.

      Nice lens, by the way.

      1. Yes, I heard that part and I’ll try that one on the next lens I do. Any tips on getting traffic to the lenses?

  1. Traffic: I tend to use articles. They’re not “sexy” but they work.

Videos are another good source of backlinks, which Google notices.

But at the level of searches that I go for, you don’t need to do much. Mine are usually one of a handful of sites targeting that keyword.

Then long tail does the rest of the magic. Because you’ll almost certainly pick up lots of long tail searches as well, each with a handful of searches a month but none of them competing against anyone.

    Hope that makes sense!

  2. Not trying to be a total stickler here, but Trevor himself has said that he doesn’t really make much, if any, money from Squidoo. “I don’t get much from Squidoo – most of my lenses are set to 100% charity for reasons I say in the video.” I think it’s weird he says that he doesn’t make much from Squidoo…so is he making all of his money from his niche sites? I think we need some clarity on this before everyone jumps onto Squidoo and is disappointed when they don’t make diddly.

  3. Tipjar:

My money doesn’t come from the revenue share with Squidoo – I usually set that to 100% to charity.

But it does come from the affiliate links I put in the lenses.

People click those and pay me commission.

If it’s a hypnosis download, usually between $5 and $7.

If it’s something like a meditation product (which I’d like more of) then $62.50 or even $150 if it’s the all-singing all-dancing one I promote.

If it takes off on Squidoo, I then either make a new site or add a page to one of my niche sites. And often add a video.

Then I can get 2 or 3 links on page 1 of the results 🙂
