If I see “Panda-Friendly” or “Penguin-Friendly” one more time I’m going to puke

Enough is enough. I'm sick of seeing all this garbage about websites that can't be affected by Google updates or a special link building method that is "better" than others because it can't get affected by Panda or Penguin. Bullshit. No one really knows what links will get affected. Technically, building any links at all is against the rules in Google's eyes…it's grey hat at the least.

The only way you're going to have a website that is safe from the all mighty Google is if you have an alternative way of getting traffic other than through SEO and Google. That's it. You can have a perfectly fine site with no link building and nothing "sketchy" and it can still get slapped by Google. Aaaaaaaaaa!

This is the part in the post where I promote something that is really "Panda-Friendly" or "Penguin-Friendly". I think we all know that list building is the safest way to go when it comes to all these updates. You can find tons of courses on how to build a list in the Warrior Forum, so I'm not even going to list one here.

Let me know how you feel about this in the comments below.

  1. Hey

you kinda answered your own rant..

Dont build links, dont over seo you page.

Now in ten minutes time with a new panda/penquin/tiiger/fox/eagle/bunny roll out it could be

Build 1000' links in one day and seo the heck out of your page 🙂

  2. Hey we all do when folks talk rubbish.
the guru snake oil sales men types…

    1. Steve,

It’s the snake oil sellers that give the rest of us a bad name.

  3. And who's not angry by the way? We tried to build sites that had great content and SEO and linkbuilding but got back down with those updates… But here we are still standing and rebuilding our sites…
We won't be ready for the next animal update but we sure will get back up again 🙂

    1. Trent,

It seems to be a continual process of building sites, getting slapped, and then building again. We just fight back!

  4. I agree.  Social media and growing your list are a lot more reliable than the search engines.  However, I would never let that scare anyone from grabbing a piece of the pie.  SEO has and will probably always be about adapting to the on comming changes.  Whenever you get beat down, you just have to learn and grow from it.

    1. Right on, Josh. There’s lots of pie for all of use to eat…you just have to know that it could be thrown in your face once in a while.

  5. I think the SEO nerds from Google all get together on a Friday afternoon for a beers (or lemonade) to play Pacman on the Atari. The one that wins gets to name the next furry animal update.

    How cool, NOT.

    Nigel

    1. Haha…yes that’s a great one. The names should be less innocuous and more ferocious.
