I’ve been waiting for the right time to put out this income report this month, but life has been getting in the way. I also didn’t just want to throw it up there, since, well, it’s my 2nd BEST income report of all time. I mean, there needs to be some sort of a celebration:
Ok, enough of that 😉
Why was it such a great month?
It’s no secret that I make most of my money from the commissions I receive from interviewing people about their upcoming product launches. I think the biggest change I’ve made in my business over that last few months is that I’ve made it a point to be on top of the upcoming hot launches and offer my audience timely discounts and bonuses when I can.
You’ve probably also noticed that instead of just publishing an interview I also publish a review along with it. I don’t know HOW many emails I’ve received complimenting me on my reviewing style. Most people seem to like that fact that I give a preview of the sales page and product without a “pushy” you-have-to-buy-it attitude. It seems to have resonated with a lot of people.
I also have been building my email list by putting bonuses in the download areas of the people I interview. Most guests are more than happy to let me acquire some of their leads to my email list, especially since they know that I’m going out of my way to do an interview AND a review for their product. It goes to show you just how important building quality relationships is when building a business in any niche.
What’s in store for April?
If I had written this a little earlier I would have been able to guess, but since I’m writing this at the end of April it’s a bit silly to “guess”. I will, however, let you know that April is also going to be a good month, but I’m getting that feeling in me again where I want to start investing money back into my business. I don’t want all of my eggs in one basket and I need to keep developing in order to take my business to the next level.
What will I be investing in?
My primary interests are list building, product creation, affiliate marketing, and Facebook marketing. I’m currently trying to find a way to use them all together in order to build my email list up another 10,000 subscribers to 20,000 subscribers by the end of 2014. I think that the only way to do that will be to massively scale through paid advertising…and I’m prepared to do it.
I’m going to keep this income report short, as I’ll be having another one coming out in the next week or so. As always, I want to thank YOU all for watching my interviews and reviews and occasionally buying products and courses through my affiliate links. Without you I’d have nothing to write here 🙂
Here are some pictures from March, 2014:

Excellent Posting with interesting numbers! Congratulations Mike!
Glad you enjoyed it, Rob…thanks!
Now that’s an inspirational report!
Thanks for making my day by showing your humble success as an product reviewer/ IM.
Your interviews & reviews are appreciated & valued to the highest standard!
I value what you do so much, that I wouldn’t touch a products unless I check to see your show first!
You are a 180” degrees from these other IM’s showing fake photoshop documents, boats, planes, trains & automobiles while giving no value.
“Thanks Mike You The Man”!
When I Grow Up I Wanna Be Like Mike (from Maine)
Valentino,
Thanks, man, I try my best to create something of value. It’s nice to see that you appreciate it…thanks!
Hi Mike
i can not see the link to get Fiverr course.
Please send it to me my email.
Here you go, Abel: https://mikefrommaine.com/fiverr/
Not too shabby but you probably deserve it as I imagine your working your ass off doing an interview every other day.
I think you do a good job of coercing information out of the interviewees as most seem fairly shy and awkward in front of the camera and a little secretive of their product but you warm them up midway through the interview and have trouble shutting them up at the end which is good for sales as the above numbers prove.
Will be able to treat yourself soon to a trashy flashy leopardskin lamborghini and join the IM hall of fame…..
Hi Steve,
Thanks, it can be tough sometimes doing daily interviews, but it pays off.
I’m probably not the type of guy to get a fancy car, but I’d love to put a nice down payment down on a house 🙂
Hey there Mike. I thoroughly enjoy your open and upfront style-nothing to hide. Wish all marketers would be the same! Keep up the good work.
Thanks, Chris. There’s too many people in IM either saying they’re making $10,000,000,000 per month or not saying at all. I think it’s important for people starting out to see what’s realistically possible through hard work and consistent action.
Hi Mike,
Greetings!
I am learning lots via your daily product reviews.
Thank you so much….I will recommend your website to my friends.
All the best.
Best Regards,
Lucia
Lucia,
I’m used to talk with you over on Facebook 🙂
Thanks for spreading the word!
Awesome work Mike, Congratulations!
Thanks, Joe. We have to catch up soon.
I made a note to contact you on Skype, Monday. Hope you are enjoying some delicious Turkish Kebap with those profits 🙂
Congratulations Michael … this is an example of true hardword and consistency… I liked you never give up attitude to reach where you are now.. wish you a lot of success in the coming future 🙂
Gaurab,
I’ve got lots to learn from you as well as I’ve seen YOU hanging out quite a bit on the product launch leaderboards 🙂
I am just giving you some company… 😀
Hi Mike,
So inspirational to see those numbers and how you’ve made it and grew with time.
I would strongly consider doing remarketing/retargetting and basically getting more subscribers from people that already are in your site and know you.
If you have visits from people that are not subscribed (I’m sure you do..) you can set up a remarketing campaign and basically they will see your ad with a special offer or whatever you come up with in other sites they visit on the internet.
Because they already know you you can put your face on the ad so it means if they click they are interested in your offer and will type the email … it will be 10 times more effective the FB in my opinion and you can tell them they w
Adam,
Great advice, Adam. I’m working on getting that setup (I already have my pixel installed).
Mike
Lookin sharp in that pilot shot! I finally started working full time from home again. It’s about darn time, right? haha.
Anyway awesome job last month. I even purchased something from one of your affiliate links to show my support 🙂
Now you have to beat it next month as well!
Hey Josh,
Whaaaaaat? You’re back? What are you doing?
Thanks for the support!
