Another good month.
What can I say? It was a fairly normal month as far as income goes. It’s pretty amazing that I had only $253.04 in business expenses to make over $11,000 in profit. It would be nearly impossible to run most businesses at such a low cost. Again, it shows how incredible affiliate marketing and product creation can be.
Coaching Program on the horizon
I finally set up my coaching program this month where I’ll be slowly accepting clients. In this program I’ll be teaching how to make money from affiliate marketing, list building, and product creation. I haven’t started promoting it yet, but I’m currently accepting applications for those interested in getting serious and moving to the next level. If you’re interested APPLY HERE.
Moving Forward
I’m at the point where I’m making enough money to pay for my daily expenses, deposit into my savings account, and invest back into my business. I’d like to be consistently putting in about 30-50% of my profits each month BACK into my business so I can start growing at a faster pace. Of course I don’t want to just throw money away, so I’ve been carefully crafting out a sales funnel for new lead generation to funnel into my coaching program.
The great thing about this is that by taking action I’ll be going in the right direction even if I don’t get the results I desire. The WORST thing I can do for my business right now is become complacent and stand still.
A new product???
As part of the sales funnel I mentioned above I’ll be doing my first JV style product launch since the end of July, 2013. My goal is to release this by the end of August after first testing out the funnel with solo ad traffic.
I see a lot of people launching product after product with no real “goal” for their funnel. I’ve been thinking long and hard about the “end goal” for the sales process and have crafted a sales funnel based upon that, rather than trying to think up a front end product and then think of the “money” product afterwards.
When I say “Money” product, I mean the product that’s going to be the real cash generator in the launch. For example, if you launch a product at $7 with a $17 OTO and a $27/recurring membership and give away 100% commissions then you’re going to make $0 from affiliates. This is EXACTLY what Alex Jeffreys does. Why? Because he knows that he’ll make his money back in his coaching students.
Let’s say you spend $500 on sales copy, $500 on advertising, and $2,000 on JV prizes for a total cost of $3,00o for your launch giving away 100% to affiliates. If affiliates send you 10,000 visitors, your sales page converts at 10%, and you bring in 1,000 sales you’ll have made $0, right? If you give away 100%, yes. But that’s not where the magic happens.
The magic happens when you have the “money” product in the backend. Whether it’s a high-priced webinar or coaching, THAT’S where you’re going to make your money.
So, if you can convert just 1% of those 1,000 new customers into coaching clients paying $1,997 each then that’s $20,000 back into your pocket. And that’s not even counting the money that will be made in affiliate commissions. These are HOT leads that have bought from you and are EAGER to learn more.
That about wraps it up. I’m EAGER to move ahead and build my business INTELLIGENTLY by investing in things that will move me forward at as fast a pace as possible. I know that the only way to do this is to take risks, help others, and perhaps fail a bit in the process. I’m a bit scared…but more excited than anything else!!!
Nice income report:) looking forward to your product!
Thanks, Yordi. I’m looking forward to it, too 😉
not too shabby buddy, I long for the day when I can pull that kinda cash from
affiliate marketing….well affiliate marketing with your list and a dash of organics
Jody,
Thanks. These kinds of results took work and perseverance. But if I can do it so can anyone else.
Congratulations on a great month!
Thanks, Eustace!
Nice income report michael, i have been following your blog every month to see this income reports and see which products did well for the month 🙂 Anyways with your insights for Funnels with 100% commission , i usually as a JV when i see a product offering affiliates with 100% commissions , i pursue it as if this guy is selling some PLR thats why he is offering 100% commissions because product creation takes time and effort so you can’t give that away or if its some respectable marketers like you then we will know that a strong backend funnel is being pushed to our buyers so we will get less sales from those same leads as the vendor wouldn’t have made any money from the product sales , so he will be pushing the news list hard to make sales (thought its not wrong and its perfectly fine and makes sense) where as a vendor who made money from the product sales as well will focus on supporting the customers more and not immediately have the need to push affiliate offers or a strong offer through the webinar.
So my motto is make money in the front end as well as in the backend and provide quality support 🙂
Either ways good luck with your launch , i know it will be of the best quality and am in and i do like the 100% commissions 🙂 Cheers.
Hey Karthik,
Great insights from a guy who has launched a LOT of products.
I’ll be sure to let you know when I get my JV page up 😉
Mike, it’s good to see you’ve another 5 figure sum this month but I would say your recent high earnings are not specifically due to hard work – I would say it’s happened because you found the right niche. In fact if we were honest we could say you are earning big money by doing the simplest task possible! But you’re doing this simple task very efficiently and honestly, hence the big increase in your earnings.
As regards, reinvesting, if I were you I would try to save up a lot of the money at this stage and once you’ve saved up something like 200k, then you could start looking for other ideas. Aren’t the interest rates in Turkey fairly high in comparison with the western banks?
Wow! Great month, you’ve increased your income a lot since I first following your blog….can’t wait to have my first $100 month and work my way up.
Nathan, As I said above. The earn money in this game, you wold need the correct niche. Just doing hard work will not achieve results. Nobody works as hard as I do – I do nothing but Internet work in my life.
Just to give an example, instead of jumping from one niche to another, if I started a an SEO blog from the start. I’d be earning good money by now – have a look at how much Mathew Woodward is earning each month solely because he’s picked the right niche.
That should be… “to earn money….” and not “the earn money….”
Congratulations, Mike! It’s great to see one of the good guys succeed.
Cheers,
Mary Greene
